WHAT IS "CRYORGANIC"?

Cryogenic is a term used to describe very low temperatures, usually below -150C. Liquid nitrogen itself is approximately -196 Celsius.

HOW COLD IS IT IN THE VAPOR–BASED DRY CRYOSEND SHIPPERS?

Below -150 C. Our average temperature in the CryoSend Shippers is about -180 C. These temperatures can hold for anywhere from one to three weeks – all depending on the size of the shipper, handling and frequency of lid-opening.

IS LIQUID NITROGEN VAPOR TOXIC?

No. Nitrogen makes up 78% of the air we breathe. There is no danger using liquid nitrogen vapor during the transportation process. Nitrogen has been used for more than 50 years to store various bio-materials, blood samples, embryos etc.

ARE CRYOSEND SHIPPERS CONSIDERED "HAZARDOUS" OR "DANGEROUS" BY IATA?

No. Our shippers are classified by IATA as non-hazardous and thus require no special labeling or handling.

WILL LIQUID NITROGEN DAMAGE OUR SPECIMENS/SAMPLES?

No. Your samples will not come into direct contact with liquid nitrogen. The dry shipper slowly releases nitrogen vapor/gas to maintain cryogenic temperatures.

HOW LONG CAN THE CRYOSEND SHIPPERS BE IN TRANSIT?

It depends on the size of the dry shipper. The dry shippers we normally use have holding-times of up to 21 days. Smaller dry shippers have holding times of approximately 12 days.

CAN YOU SHIP INFECTIOUS MATERIALS?

Yes. However, we need to make sure that the infectious materials are properly packaged and labeled according to applicable regulations.

CAN YOU DO A PILOT TEST SHIPMENT?

Yes. Pilot programs are available to help you decide whether or not CryoSend has the right solution for you.

FOR IVF SHIPMENTS, WHO CONTACTS THE CLINICS?

Once the clinics approve the shipping and receiving of the IVF samples, you will need to complete the paperwork for each clinic. Once you have started the initial stage, we will then be able to coordinate with the clinics to confirm shipping and receiving details and procedures. We can guide you during this process.

2. Visa
3. Master Card
