CryoSend Shippers use liquid nitrogen as the refrigerant, not dry ice. Our dry vapor shipper fully absorbs all the liquid nitrogen into porous foam inside the shipper. The shipper then releases this LN2 slowly to maintain cryogenic temperatures of up to -185 inside the container.
Unlike dry ice, CryoSend Shippers can maintain constant temperatures throughout the journey – up to 21 days, depending on the size of the shipper. The temperature inside the shipper is constant from top to bottom – no temperature excursions. In addition, there is no need for you to purchase and maintain a stock of dry ice, be concerned about overnight shipping, paying hazardous goods shipping charges, staff training or worry about the loss of cell and sample integrity.
